  3. Leave it to cool enough to touch then add freshly ground pepper and oil and mix thoroughly
  4. Put the paste in a sterile glass container and refridgerate

Golden Paste will last for about two weeks refrigerated but can also be frozen.

For humans:

Add ¼ teaspoon twice a day to your food for the first 4-5 days.

Add ¼ teaspoon three times a day to your food for the next 4-5 days.

Gradually increase until your symptoms are relieved.  The amount required will depend upon your pets metabolism and individual reaction to the paste.  Take it little and often as turmeric is cleared from the body in 4-6 hours.

For horses:

Adding 1 teaspoon of golden paste twice per day to horses feed is the most effective option.  However horses also respond well to having the raw ingredients added to their feed.  It may help to also add water to their feed.  Use 10mls turmeric, 10mls oil (if using a liquid oil), 15 grinds of whole black peppercorns, twice per day.  These doses can be increased after a week until an improvement in symptoms is noticed.  Horses that are fed concentrate feeds that include oil may not need oil added.  If you use micronized linseed use 3 times the amount of liquid oils.

Dogs and cats:

Add golden paste to gravy, in their feed, or use a syringe to administer it into their mouth.

For medium-large dogs add ¼ teaspoon twice per day.

For small dogs use 1/8 teaspoon twice per day.  If your dog or horse begins to smell from their skin add 1 tablespoon of Ceylon cinnamon.  Other types of cinnamon can cause liver damage so only use this type.

For cats use 1/8 teaspoon twice per day in strong smelling feeds.
